1. Chinese New Year

London has the largest Chinese New Year celebrations outside Asia. Hundreds of thousands of people get involved in the celebrations which include parades, live shows and firework displays. This year the Chinese New Year of the horse will be celebrated on the 2nd February in Central London. There will be a parade along Charing Cross Road, visiting artists from Asia on the main stage in Trafalgar square, Lion teams in Chinatown and traditional food and craft stalls dotted across the West End. The Chinese New Year celebrations are suitable for all ages and will provide you with an unforgettable experience!

2. Imagine Festival

The Imagine Festival takes place at the Southbank Centre from the 10th to the 23rd of February 2014. This is a children’s festival that encourages younger kids to get involved in dance, theatre, art and reading. At the Southbank Centre they can participate in a number of different activities, which include learning about classical music with the National Youth Orchestra and listening to rock music at the Battle of the Bands concert. 3. Fashion Weekend

Vodafone’s Fashion Weekend will take place from the 20th to the 23rd February at Somerset House. This is the perfect event for fashionistas to attend, with big names from both the beauty and fashion industries showing off their best work. Watch catwalk shows, browse the pop up shops and attend the educational panels held by some of the industry’s leading experts.

4. Taylor Swift – The Red Tour

If you are a fan of Taylor Swift, then we hope you have your tickets for The Red Tour! The seven time Grammy Award winner will be putting on five shows between the 1st and 11th February at London’s O2 arena. London is the final stop on Taylor’s Red Tour which started in North America and will move onto Australia and New Zealand before hitting the UK. Taylor Swift will be supported by British band, The Vamps.

5. The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show

The Telegraph Outdoor show is the UK’s largest exhibition for adventurous people. It will be held at the ExCeL centre from the 13th to the 16th February. It is the perfect chance to learn about new adventure activities and get information about various travel destinations you may be thinking of exploring.


ExCeL will be hosting a number of fantastic events and exhibitions throughout the month of February.

6. Professional Beauty show

If adventures aren’t your cup of tea, you may prefer the Professional Beauty show which is being held at the ExCel Centre in London from the 23rd to the 24th February. This is the UK’s largest event for the beauty industry. It provides visitors with the chance to get their hands on new product offerings from top beauty brands and learn from the beauty industry experts who will be hosting seminars and workshops.

7. Valentine’s Day

We could not finish off the list without mentioning Valentine’s Day. Whether you are feeling loved up this Valentine’s Day or simply want to get out of the house for the evening, you won’t be short of things to do in London. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels all over the city offering Valentine’s Day menus and package deals to suit all budgets.
