You can check in immediately after you make your booking by following the link on the booking confirmation screen or by following the link in your confirmation email. When you check in, you will need to provide the names, dates of birth and weights of all passengers in your group. For all passengers in your group who are 16 or over, you will also need to provide details from a photographic ID such as a passport, driving licence or national ID card. Please make sure that you bring your nominated ID documents with you on the day of your flight. Failure to do so may prevent you from flying
IMPORTANT: all passengers must check in on-line no later than the day before your scheduled flight time
Customer cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time will be refunded free of charge. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time will not be entitled to a refund. Please note that bookings made using a Gift Voucher are non-refundable
We reserve the right to cancel or alter the schedule of any flight due to; Air Traffic Control restrictions, low demand, poor weather conditions, technical reasons or pilot illness. We will, of course, endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. If we need to amend your flight, we will try to contact you using the email address and mobile telephone number you gave at the time of your booking. In these circumstances, we will offer to reschedule your booking or to give you a full refund (NB: no refunds given on bookings made using a Gift Voucher). Whilst we do offer our sincerest apologies for any disruption to your plans and any expenses you may have incurred, we do not offer any form of compensation
Under current Civil Aviation Authority guidelines, you are not permitted to take any of the following items on to an aircraft: acid, poison, flammable liquids, explosives, matches, lighters, bleach, incapacitating sprays, ignitable gas devices, compressed gas. For full details, please click here
IMPORTANT: if you are carrying any of the above items on the day of your flight, you will have to leave them in our terminal. We do reserve the right to search any clothing and/or bags for such items
Yes. These include limited mobility, epilepsy, heart conditions and pregnancy. If you have concerns that you may not be able to fly, please call our office on +44 (0)20 7887 2626 and ask. You may also need to seek advice from your doctor to make sure you’re fine to fly
As with all aircraft, certain limits apply to our flights regarding the weights of individual passengers and the combined weight of everyone who is flying.
Additionally, for a full helicopter, there must be 2 passengers with a combined weight under 155Kg.
Our individual passenger limit is 110kg (17st). If any of your group is above this weight, you may need to buy an additional seat.
No children under the age of four are permitted to fly with us. Additionally, there is a minimum passenger weight limit of 15Kg. An adult must accompany children under 16. If you would like to discuss any of these restrictions, please give us a call on +44 (0)20 7887 2626
We reserve the right to refuse any passenger from boarding the aircraft for any of the following reasons:
- late arrival at our terminal
- failure to provide suitable photo ID
- intoxication (being drunk or under the influence of drugs)
- threatening or abusive behaviour towards our staff or any other passenger
- any other behaviour that may compromise the safety of any passengers on-board
If you are refused access to the flight, you will not be entitled to a refund
Unless you book an exclusive flight, you may be sharing the cabin of the helicopter with other people. If there is a low demand for your selected flight time, we may need to reschedule it. If this happens, we will do our utmost to contact you at least 24 hours before departure by telephone and email, using the details you provided at the time of booking
Your flight will be operated by London Helicopter Charters Ltd, who are registered under UK AOC 2441
We hold public liability insurance to cover injury or other losses as a result of operating the flight. Click here to view the policy. There is no insurance in place to cover you for missing the flight for any reason, or for any consequential loss associated with the flight being delayed or cancelled for any reason or at any time

You are required to be at the Heliport 20 minutes before your scheduled flight time, to complete check-in, and for the safety briefing. Please note that late arrivals may result in you not being allowed to fly and no refund given.
Yes, the flights are dependant on favourable weather conditions and the Pilot will make a decision on the morning based on an aviation forecast. The actual weather may not follow the forecast, but the Pilots decision is final. Please note that as the helicopters are based in Redhill, Surrey, their ability to fly to the London Heliport has to also be considered.
All contact will be made, for weather and other related changes to bookings, via the email and mobile telephone number given at time of booking, or, if different, those provided on check-in.
It is not always necessary for The London Helicopter to have direct contact details of those flying, however, please note that the primary contact person will be responsible for relaying any changes.
Whilst we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible of any changes/cancellations, please call us in the morning to check the status of your flight.
