The Telegraph Outdoor show is the largest adventure and travel exhibition in the UK. It will take place at the London ExCeL Centre from the 13th to the 16th February 2014.

The Outdoor show is suitable for visitors of all ages. Get involved in activities, find information about travel opportunities and invest in top quality products from some of the industry’s leading brands.


The event will be hosted at the ExCeL centre which is located at the Victoria Dock.

What to expect at the Outdoor show

From adventure activities to informational talks and presentations, not to mention a wide range of stalls, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Telegraph Outdoor show. This year there will be six brand new zones, each of which focuses on different aspects of the great outdoors.

Zone one is Adventure Travel. This zone is a must-visit if you are looking to go on an adventure holiday abroad this year. Discover other parts of the world and find information about different destinations from the experienced tour operators.

The second zone is titled ‘Britain on Foot’ and is sure to be a well-loved zone by visiting walkers and ramblers. Here you can discover everything you need to know about walking in the UK. Find out which are considered to be the best campsites, hostels, activity centres and country pubs in the country.

Zone three is all about climbing adventures. Along with getting information about local climbing walls and mountain climbing, visitors will be able to have a go at it themselves on the climbing village. This activity is suitable for climbers of all abilities.

The forth zone is titled ‘on the water’ and is all about water based sports like white water rafting and kayaking. Ever fancied giving it a go? This is the best place to get all of the information you need.

White water rafting

Fancy white water rafting, find out everything you need to know about the sport by visiting zone 4.

Zone five is one for the aspiring photographers out there. Here you will be able to see some of the best images of places across the globe, whilst picking up photography tips that will take your adventure photography to the next level.

Finally, in zone six you will find the outdoors store which is in partnership with outdoor specialists, Blacks. Here you can purchase all of the clothing, gear and equipment you will need to an adventure trip outdoors.

Food and drink

After walking round all of the zones and participating in the activities it will be time for a well-deserved rest and bite to eat. Visit the small producers’ market where you can indulge in great tasting, fresh food and show your support for local businesses. Alternatively, head to the National Geographic Traveller Café where you will find a menu featuring hot and cold drinks, alcoholic beverages and snacks. Whilst enjoying your food and drink in the comfy seating area, you can listen to the speakers from the Telegraph Stage who will be hosting talks and doing book signings throughout each day.


SEAT is the headline sponsor of this year’s Outdoor show. The award winning Spanish automobile manufacturer investing in sponsoring the event as a platform to launch its new estate car the SEAT Leon ST. in the UK.

Booking tickets

The exhibition is open from 1pm until 8pm on the 13th February, 10am until 5pm on the 14th February, 9am until 6pm on the 15th February and 9am until 5pm on the 16th February. Adult tickets cost sixteen pounds in advance or twenty pounds on the door. Students and seniors can get discounted tickets at a price of thirteen pounds in advance and sixteen pounds on the door. Children under the age of sixteen can get into the exhibition for free but still to acquire a ticket.
